The Andrew A. Isen Prize

Goodspeed employees are also eligible for The Andrew A. Isen Prize at Goodspeed Musicals. The prize, to be given annually, will recognize a young person between the ages of 20-29 who has demonstrated excellence in their work during the previous Goodspeed Musicals season.

Usher

Ushers are responsible for delivering top-notch customer service and ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for our theatre patrons at both the Goodspeed Opera House and the Terris Theatre. As the face of hospitality, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and your friendly and professional demeanor will set the stage for an unparalleled event experience. This a Seasonal position (April-December).

The First Hand assists the Draper with the cutting, assembling, stitching and completion of garments for productions. The First Hand will also oversee a team of Stitchers in the completion of garments for productions.

A Stagehand is responsible for operation of all assigned scenic moves and assisting in the maintenance and repair of all scenic elements. Additionally, they lend support to the scene shop in the implementation, build, load-in, and strike of all scenic elements.

Assistant Costume Shop Manager

The Assistant Costume Shop Manager is responsible for providing support to the Costume Shop Manager (CSM) and all Costume Designers (CD) throughout the realization and maintenance of all costume designs and costume elements for the Goodspeed Opera House, The Norma Terris Theatre, and all assigned Goodspeed events and outside projects. The Draper is responsible for the safe, accurate and timely construction and alterations of all costume elements assigned to them by the Costume Shop Manager (CSM). In addition, the Draper will assist in supporting the Goodspeed Costume Rental Collection.

Child Supervisor (A Christmas Story)

The Child Supervisor for the production of A Christmas Story is on-site to supervise all actors who are minors (under 18) when they are not on stage, be the families’ primary contact during the rehearsal process and production run, and work with the stage management team and Goodspeed production staff to make the production experience successful for the children, ensuring they have a positive experience during rehearsals. There will be between 8 and 11 child actors involved in the production.
