Taven BlankeTAVEN BLANKE* (Billy) is beyond excited to make his debut at The Goodspeed with such a talented group of performers. Taven’s passion for musical theater and dance began at the age of 8. His favorite roles include Jojo in Seussical, Young Simba in The Lion King, and Colin Craven in The Secret Garden. He would like to thank all the wonderful people that have supported and mentored him, including Allison Horner, John Hay, Jennifer Johns, Jimmy Larkin, Shannon Kane, Tim Nelson, his sister Timari, and his dog Prince. Gabriel Sidney BrownGABRIEL SIDNEY BROWN* (Tony) is thrilled to be making his Goodspeed debut! He was most recently seen on the North American Tour of Les Misérables as Feuilly (u/s Marius). Liam Vincent HuttLIAM VINCENT HUTT* (Billy) is thrilled to be working with Goodspeed and living his dream of playing Billy Elliot. Previous credits include the National Tour of Elf The Musical (Michael u/s); Cabaret (Boy) at Florida Repertory Theatre; Secret Garden (Colin) at Theater Zone; A Christmas Story (Randy), Pippin (Theo), Mary Poppins (Michael), Phantom, and Evita at Broadway Palm; Wizard of Oz and Seussical (JoJo) at Cultural Park Theatre; The Nutcracker at Gulfshore Ballet; Dance Intensives Orlando, Jump 24/7 (Winner). Julia Louise HosackJULIA LOUISE HOSACK* (Lesley, Clipboard Woman, Ensemble) is thrilled to join Goodspeed and this production of Billy Elliot. Julia recently had the honor of originating the character and puppetry of Mrs. Potts for Disney Cruise Line’s newest production of Beauty and the Beast. GABRIEL BARRE (Director) is an internationally acclaimed director who recently directed Amazing Grace on Broadway and in Washington DCOff Broadway credits include the original productions of; Manhattan Theatre Club’s, The Wild Party, Summer of ’42, john & jen and Almost, Maine. National Tours include Amazing Grace, Pippin, and Cinderella. Regional theatre credits include the original production of Memphis, at North Shore Music Theatre and Theatreworks in Palo Alto, CA; A Sign of the Times at the Delaware Theatre Company; as well as Sweeney Todd, Finian’s Rainbow, Houdini, Camille, A Sign of the Times and many others at Goodspeed Musicals and at the nearby, Terris Theatre. International credits include: the Mexican premiere of Billy Elliot, The Scarlet Pimpernel in Japan, and numerous shows in Korea, China and the Czech Republic, including the world premiere of the new Czech musical, Holmes, The Legend which opened last fall and the Frank Wildhorn musical, Carmen which recently celebrated its 10th sold out year anniversary.

MARC KIMELMAN (Choreographer) was the associate choreographer for Broadway’s A Bronx Tale and National Tour. He choreographed Saturday Night Fever (National Tour), Man of La Mancha (Stratford Shakespeare Festival), Play It Cool and The Apple Boys (Off-Broadway), Once On This Island (Dora Award for Outstanding Choreography), Tonya & Nancy: The Rock Opera (NYMF), Songbird and The Ballad of Little Jo (Two River Theater). MICHAEL O'FLAHERTY (Music Director) is in his 28th season as Goodspeed's Resident Music Director. Broadway: By Jeeves, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, A Streetcar Named Desire. Also: Paper Mill Playhouse, North Shore Music Theatre, Playwrights Horizons, Ford's Theatre, The Brooklyn Academy of Music, The Kennedy Center, Pittsburgh Public Theatre, and the Smithsonian Institution. Musical Supervisor and Cabaret Director of the Williamstown Theatre Festival for 11 years. His original musical A Connecticut Christmas Carol, for which he wrote music and lyrics, was presented at Goodspeed’s Terris Theatre in Chester in 2017/2018 and will run again this December. Michael has recently received the Tom Killen Award for Lifetime Achievement—the highest honor given by the Connecticut Critics Circle.

JAY HILTON (Sound Design) is pleased to continue his long association with Goodspeed Musicals and to once again be working with such a talented creative team, including the director, Gabriel Barre. Jay has enjoyed working with Mr. Barre many times including, most recently, Amazing Grace and A Sign of the Times at The Terris Theatre in Chester. Jay has designed countless other productions at both The Goodspeed and The Terris Theatre. Over the years his work has gone on to be heard on Broadway, National Tours, and at Regional Theatres from coast to coast. In addition to being Goodspeed’s Resident Sound Designer, Jay serves as their Audio Supervisor. He and his wife, Goodspeed Producer Donna Lynn Hilton, make their home (and garden) in Hadlyme, Connecticut with Cookie and Macy.
 

MARK ADAM RAMPMEYER (Hair & Wig Design) has designed more than 20 productions for Goodspeed Musicals, including 42nd Street, La Cage aux Folles, and Oklahoma!. As a stylist, he was fortunate enough to be a part of the Broadway productions of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Sunset Boulevard, Kiss of the Spider Woman, and 42nd Street. Other design credits include Broadway: West Side Story, Lysistrata Jones, The Farnsworth Invention. Off-Broadway: The Toxic Avenger, Horton Foote’s Orphans’ Home Cycle, and The Milk Train Doesn’t Stop Here Anymore with Olympia Dukakis. Regional: The Legend of Georgia McBride and Christmas on the Rocks for TheaterWorks and many productions for Hartford Stage Company. JENNIFER SCAPETIS-TYCER (Dialect Coach) Jennifer’s dialect/voice/text coaching credits include work for Berkshire Theatre Group, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Bated Breath Theatre at 59E59 NYC, Playhouse on Park (West Hartford), Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati, The Know Theatre Cincinnati, Saratoga Shakespeare Company, Bay Street Theatre, Dirty Pretty Theatre at 45 Downstairs (Melbourne, Australia), and The Rose Theatre Bankside (London).  Jennifer is on the faculty of UConn’s Drama department and coaches for their resident Connecticut Repertory Theatre.  Jennifer trained as a voice coach at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, London, and as an actor at ArtsEd, London.  www.jenniferscapetis.com

 
DAN DeLANGE (Orchestrator) has scored over 50 shows at Goodspeed Musicals. His work was also heard in the West End's production of Show Boat and was nominated for Best Musical Revival at the 2017 Olivier Awards in London. He has orchestrated for Manhattan Concert Productions at Carnegie Hall, The Jim Henson Company, Julie Andrews, Rosie O'Donnell, Live Theatricals at Universal Studios, and composers Paul Williams, Jerry Herman, Harvey Schmitt, Charles Strouse, Stephen Schwartz, Peter Link, and Mark Hollman. His scores have been heard on Broadway, London's West End, National and European Tours, film, television, and at Regional Theaters around the world.
