Jennifer AllenJENNIFER ALLEN* (The Drowsy Chaperone) is thrilled to return to Goodspeed. She was last seen off-Broadway in the acclaimed production of Jerry Springer: The Opera following a year on the road as the villainess Ursala in The Little Mermaid. Broadway credits include Bridges of Madison County, Sister Act, Memphis, A Catered Affair, Cats, Little Me, Guys and Dolls, and City of Angels. She has toured in Ragtime, Jerome Robbins’ Broadway, and Cabaret. Regionally, she has worked at Williamstown and the Paper Mill Playhouse. Jennifer makes her home in New York with her loving family: husband Rob, daughter Frances, and son Cedric.

John RapsonJOHN RAPSON* (Aldolpho) John is thrilled to be making his Goodspeed debut! He comes to The Goodspeed directly from Barrow Street Theatre’s acclaimed production of Sweeney Todd, in which he played Beadle Bamford and understudied the title role. Prior to that, John originated the role of The D’Ysquith family on the first national tour of A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. Broadway: Les Misérables (Grantaire, Bamatabois, U/S Javert and Thenardier). Tour/Regional: Les Misérables, Disney on Classic (with the Tokyo Philharmonic), Sweeney Todd (Barrington Stage), Brigadoon (Wagon Wheel). Proud University of Michigan graduate. Stephanie RothenbergSTEPHANIE ROTHENBERG* (Janet Van de Graaff) Goodspeed debut! On Broadway she starred as Rosemary Pilkington opposite Nick Jonas in How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. She was most recently seen on Broadway as Dorian Leigh in War Paint starring Patti LuPone and Christine Ebersole and Sunset Boulevard starring Glenn Close. She originated the iconic Audrey Hepburn role of Princess Anne in the musical adaptation of Roman Holiday (Guthrie) and spent a season at The Stratford Festival as Maria in The Sound of Music. TV credits include an upcoming role on Season 2 of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and Master of None.
 
John SchererJOHN SCHERER* (Man In Chair) John Scherer is thrilled to return to Goodspeed where has appeared as George M (Connecticut Critics Circle Award) and as Bertie Wooster in the American premiere of By Jeeves. He subsequently starred in the Broadway and film versions of By Jeeves. Other Broadway credits: Sunset Boulevardand LoveMusik. Off Broadway: Dames at Sea, Olympus On My Mind. He has played leading roles across the country in such regional theatres as the Kennedy Center, Arena Stage, Goodman Theatre, Paper Mill Playhouse and many others. Blakely SlaybaughBLAKELY SLAYBAUGH* (Gangster 1) Blakely is elated to be at Goodspeed with his brother! Last seen in Hunter Foster’s 42nd Street as Billy Lawlor at Bucks County Playhouse. Recently, Blakely won the 2018 Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Musical for his portrayal of Prez in The Pajama Game at the Tony winning Arena Stage. Prior to that he was seen in the original Broadway cast of Paramour and as Robertson Ay in Mary Poppins at Paper Mill Playhouse. MICHAEL O'FLAHERTY (Music Director) is in his 27th season as Goodspeed's Resident Music Director. Broadway: By Jeeves, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, A Streetcar Named Desire. Also: Paper Mill Playhouse, North Shore Music Theatre, Playwrights Horizons, Ford's Theatre, The Brooklyn Academy of Music, The Kennedy Center, Pittsburgh Public Theatre, and the Smithsonian Institution. Musical Supervisor and Cabaret Director of the Williamstown Theatre Festival for 11 years. His original musical A Connecticut Christmas Carol, for which he wrote music and lyrics, will be presented at Goodspeed’s Terris Theatre in Chester again this fall. Michael has recently received the Tom Killen Award for Lifetime Achievement—the highest honor given by the Connecticut Critics Circle. 

 

HOWARD JONES (Scenic Design) has also designed The Pajama Game, No,No Nanette, Brigadoon, Geo M!, Babes in Arms, High Button Shoes, 42nd Street, and Call Me Madam. Mr. Jones was a member of the faculty of the UNCSA for 29 years. Before that he was founder of Cobalt Studios, an apprentice painting studio. He has designed at Virginia Opera, North Shore Music Theatre, Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, Missouri Repertory Theatre, Weston Playhouse, Royal Ballet of New Zealand, Royal Romania Ballet & Opera, Charlotte Ballet, Triad Stage, and the Coterie Theatre.  World Stage Design, 2005. JAY HILTON (Sound Design) is pleased to continue his long association with Goodspeed Musicals and is happy to be working on his eleventh production with director Rob Ruggiero. Other productions include Show Boat, Carousel, Fiddler on the Roof, La Cage aux Folles, and last season’s Rags. Jay has designed countless other productions at both The Goodspeed and The Terris Theatre in Chester. His work has also been heard on Broadway, National Tours, and at Regional Theatres from coast to coast. In addition to being Goodspeed’s Resident Sound Designer, Jay serves as their Audio Supervisor. He and his wife, Goodspeed Producer Donna Lynn Hilton, make their home (and garden) in Hadlyme, Connecticut with Cookie and Macy.


MARK ADAM RAMPMEYER (Hair & Wig Design) has designed more than 20 productions for Goodspeed Musicals including 42nd Street, La Cage aux Folles, and Oklahoma!. As a stylist he was fortunate enough to be a part of the Broadway productions of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Sunset Boulevard, Kiss of the Spider Woman, and 42nd Street. Other design credits include Broadway: West Side Story, Lysistrata Jones, The Farnsworth Invention. Off-Broadway: The Toxic Avenger, Horton Foote’s Orphans’ Home Cycle, and The Milk Train Doesn’t Stop Here Anymore with Olympia Dukakis. Regional: The Legend of Georgia McBride and Christmas on the Rocks for TheaterWorks and many productions for Hartford Stage Company. DAN DeLANGE (Orchestrator) His work was heard in the West End's production of Show Boat and was nominated for Best Musical Revival at the 2017 Olivier Awards in London. He has orchestrated for Manhattan Concert Productions at Carnegie Hall, The Jim Henson Company, Julie Andrews, Rosie O'Donnell, Live Theatricals at Universal Studios, and composers Paul Williams, Jerry Herman, Harvey Schmitt, Charles Strouse, Stephen Schwartz, Peter Link, and Mark Hollman. His scores have been heard on Broadway, London's West End, National and European Tours, film, television, and at Regional Theaters around the world. BRADLEY G. SPACHMAN* (Production Stage Manager) is originally from Chicago and has previously worked at the Goodman and Lookingglass Theatres. He brought Goodspeed’s productions of Pippin and The Boy Friend to audiences across North America. At The Terris Theatre, he last stage managed The Great American Mousical for Julie Andrews and Christopher Gattelli. Some favorite Goodspeed productions include Redhead, Fiddler on the Roof, and Singin’ in the Rain. For Kim.
