Donald CorrenDONALD CORREN* (Fagin) previously appeared at Goodpseed in the musical review Noël. On Broadway, originated the role of Cosmé McMoon in Souvenir and replaced Harvey Fierstein in the original production of Torch Song Trilogy, for which he won both the San Francisco and Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Awards while on tour. He appears frequently Off-Broadway (The Fantasticks, Old Jews Telling Jokes, The Soap Myth, The Last Sunday in June, Stephen Sondheim’s Saturday Night, Tomfoolery, and this season’s Balls), as well as in leading roles at regional theatres across the country. Elijah RaymanELIJAH RAYMAN* (Oliver) found his passion for music and theatre at a very early age. He has been in productions ever since he was 5 years old, including the latest role of Mamillius in TFANA's The Winter's Tale. He is so honored to be a part of Oliver!. Many thanks to Stewart Whitley Casting, Parkside Talent, Carson Kolker, Badiene Magaziner, Trapper Felides, Sofya Palma, Vlad Andreyev, Janine Molinari, Acting Out, and Adam Sterrie from Oxford, England, all of whom helped Elijah find his Oliver! 
 
Gavin SwartzGAVIN SWARTZ* (Artful Dodger) Gavin, a 13 year old from Massachusetts, is honored to be making his debut at The Goodspeed. Other credits include: Broadway, Matilda (Nigel); Paper Mill Playhouse, A Christmas Story (Grover Dill); The Palace Theatre, Oliver! (Oliver); North Shore Music Theatre, Les Misérable (Gavroche). If he is not performing, you can find him on the golf course, watching The Cooking Channel, or cheering on any New England sports team. Owen Tabaka

OWEN TABAKA (Charley Bates) is excited and honored to join the Oliver! family! Recent credits: A Christmas Story (Grover Dill, National Tour), A Raisin in the Sun (Travis Younger, Two River Theater), Sesame Street (Tapper, HBO), Waiting for Godot (NYTW), and the 2015 Petite Mr. World Dance Champion. Owen wishes to thank God, his family, friends, and all his teachers for giving up so much of their time so he can pursue his dreams. Megan LoomisMEGAN LOOMIS* (Ensemble) recently finished a successful run of the new musical The Other Josh Cohen at GeVa Theatre in her hometown of Rochester, NY. North America/Asian tours: War Horse, Cabaret, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, and Sweeney Todd. Off-Broadway credits: The Dead, 1904, Woody Sez at Irish Repertory Theatre; the critically-acclaimed production of John Doyle’s Allegro at Classic Stage Company. Alex StewartALEX STEWART* (Ensemble) is thrilled to return to The Goodspeed, where he was recently seen in Oklahoma! (Ensemble/ Will Parker U/S). Other credits: Elf: the Musical! James YoungJAMES YOUNG* (Mr. Brownlow, Ensemble) continues a 40-year career doing what he loves, thanks to his family. He is extremely lucky and grateful to have worked with and learned from so many amazing artists, and had so many magical moments in a career that includes Broadway, Regional Theatre, National and International Tours, Film, and Television. The production for which Mr. Young continues to be most proud are his daughters Kristina and Alessandra.

Dace McNallyDACE McNALLY (Swing) is excited to be making his Goodspeed debut this summer! Dace spent the last three years with Disney Cruise Line, sailing as a Mainstage Performer. His other credits include the featured ensemble at the Utah Festival Opera and Guildenstern in a revival of Rockabye Hamlet. He'd like to thank the creative team and the cast for a wonderful experience. Dace would also like to thank his incredibly supportive family and dedicates his work to his late grandmother.
Emma Rose ArletEMMA ROSE ARELT (Kids Company) Emma’s previous shows have included a production of The Lion King and her school plays. In her free time, Emma likes to ride her bike with her mom and explore new places while biking. She also loves reading about historical events and reading biographies about famous people. She likes being in Oliver! because there are a lot more people who do what she likes, acting! She’d like to thank her parents for encouraging her to try out for Oliver! Emma is a 5th grade student at Lyme Consolidated School. 
Gordon BeckGORDON BECK (Kids Company) This is Gordon’s second show with the Goodspeed, having understudied the role of David Hershkovitz in Rags last season. In his free time, Gordon likes playing hockey, dancing (modern, hiphop, and breakdancing), playing lacrosse, and reading. He likes the Kids Company because he’s met other kids and learned accents, songs, and choreography. Gordon would like to thank his mom, the kid wranglers and teachers at Kids Company, and his sister Kate for getting him interested in musicals. He’d like to thank his dad and brother Calvin, too. He can’t wait for Opening Night so he can see all of the people in the audience and for his family to see how much he’s learned. Gordon is a 4th grade student at Tolland Intermediate School.
Owen BryanOWEN BRYAN (Kids Company) Owen has participated in a few theater workshops at Chester Elementary, but this is his first ever show! In his free time, Owen likes playing tag and reading his favorite books, Narwhal and Jelly. He likes being in the Kids Company of Oliver! because it gives him the chance to sing. He’d like to thank his mom and dad for their support. Owen is a 1st grade student at Chester Elementary School.
Alexa CaleganALEXA CALEGARI (Kids Company) The first time Alexa did theatre was last year at a theatre camp at Community Music School. This year she was in her school shows: The Lion King and James and the Giant Peach. In her free time she likes to sing, read, shop, and hang out with her friends. She loves being in the Kids Company of Oliver! because she likes learning about theater and meeting new friends. She would like to thank her very supportive family for believing in her and for driving her. Alexa is a 7th grade student at John Winthrop Middle School.
Ava CannanAVA CANNAN (Kids Company) Ava’s previous credits include The Frog Prince, Peter and Wendy, Arf, Bah Humbug, and Cinderella. In her free time, Ava enjoys running, sleeping, playing Roblox, and reading. She’s enjoyed the Oliver! Kids Company because she’s been able to meet new people and have fun. She’d like to thank her great grandpa. Ava is a 4th grade student at Essex Elementary School.
Logan ErwinLOGAN ERWIN (Kids Company) Some of Logan’s previous shows include Cinderella at the Kate, Scrooge with WISP Productions, The Addams Family with Community Music School, and Chorus for Ethan Bortnick Benefit Concert. Logan likes to spend her free time playing with her dog Bella and playing with her best friends, including Ava C in this show! Logan likes being in the Kids Company because she likes meeting new people, especially the cast. She also likes learning new ways to act. She’d like to thank her family for encouraging her and supporting her. She’d also like to thank WISP Theatre Productions for helping her on her journey to acting. Logan would like to tell the audience to believe in their dreams and to achieve the impossible! Logan is a 4th grade student at Essex Elementary School.
Avital Goldberg-CurranAVITAL GOLDBERG-CURRAN (Kids Company) Avital is so happy to be making her debut at the Goodspeed Opera House! She would like to thank everyone at Goodspeed for this wonderful opportunity. Some favorite past credits include, Ngana in South Pacific and Avital in I’ll be Home for Christmas both at the Ivoryton Playhouse, Jesus Christ Superstar and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat under the direction of Bryan Perri, Daniel C. Levine and Katie Diamond at The Ridgefield Playhouse with ACT of CT, and Seussical the Musical at the Chestnut Street Playhouse. Local performances include, Rapunzel in Rapunzel, Dragon in Shrek, a Broadway Revue at The Granite Theater and Nautical Nightmares and Lantern Light tours at the Mystic Seaport. Avital has been playing the violin since she was 5 years old. She would like to thank her incredible family and friends for their continued love and support. Avital is dedicating her performances this summer to her grandfather who was her most avid supporter. Avital is an 8th grade student at Pine Point School.
Lauren GrecoLAUREN GRECO (Kids Company) Lauren has performed as Gollum in The Hobbit at Oddfellows Playhouse, was Orphan Kate in Annie with the Podium Players, and at school she was Mrs. Paroo in The Music Man. Her musical theatre experience began very early with The Young People’s Center for Creative Arts (YPCCA). Her film experience includes the main role in Buried Treasure, a Senior Thesis short film at Wesleyan University and in the short film No Costume, No Candy.  Lauren enjoys reading, learning the ukulele, singing, improvisation, acting, and film.  She says Oliver! has been a wonderful experience because she learns from professionals who work in theatre every day. She also has fun working with the other Kids Company students! Lauren would like to thank The Goodspeed for this amazing opportunity. Love and appreciation to her parents and sister, Caroline. Sincere thanks for friends and family for seeing this show. She is so excited and blessed to be a part of Oliver! She hopes you enjoy the show as much as the kids do! Lauren is a 6th grade student at East Hampton Middle School.
Riley KueverRILEY KUEVER (Kids Company) Riley played Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz and was in the ensemble of She Loves Me, Aladdin, Guys and Dolls, and more. She likes to sing, play basketball, play piano and guitar, bake, and hanging out with her friends. She also loves animals and has 2 dogs named Sophie and Frito. She’s enjoyed being in the Kids Company because she liked being with the kids as well as meeting the cast, the director, and choreographer. Riley would like to thank her mom, dad, Lauren, Sarah, and Nana. She would also like to thank her music teachers that have inspired her to work hard. Riley is a 6th grade student at Jared Eliot Middle School.
Ava Rose LoughlinAVA ROSE LOUGHLIN (Kids Company) This is Ava’s Goodspeed Debut. She had done 11 shows with the Whitney Players Theater Company in Hamden, CT. Her favorite roles include Annie (Annie Jr), Jojo (Seussical), Little Red Riding Hood (Into the Woods Jr), Young Fiona (Shrek), and Chip (Beauty and the Beast.) Ava likes to dance, sing, act, play piano, and hang out with her friends. She loves the beach and her family vacations. She loves going to Walt Disney World, and her favorite character is Donald Duck. What she loves about being in the Kids Company of Oliver! is meeting new people that have the same passion for theater that she does. She also likes learning and growing as an actress and improving on her skills. She would like to thank her mom, dad, and family for loving and supporting her. She’d also like to thank her dance teachers Sandee and Linda Juilano, her vocal coach Billy DiCrosta, Cindy Simell-Devoe and The Whitney Players for everything she knows today. Ava is a 5th grade student at Haddam-Killingworth Middle School.
Meghan PrattMEGHAN PRATT (Kids Company) 

Meghan has done two productions at Hartford stage, 1 at Carriage House Theater, 14 at NCTC, 4 at CAST, and this is her first at Goodspeed! She enjoys playing with her dolls, rollerblading, bike riding, swinging on the swing and imagining things, watching movies and walking her dog Skye. She’s loved being in the Kids Company of

Oliver! because she’s met new people, danced, sang, acted, and got to perform at a new theater. She’d like to thank Mr. James for choreographing, Miss Catherine and Miss Lynnea for running the Kids Company and making work fun, and Mr. Ruggiero for casting her as Nipper. She hopes you enjoy the show, it will be awesome! Meghan is a 4th

grade student at Nayaug Elementary School.

Colin SotoCOLIN SOTO (Kids Company) Colin’s past credits include 42nd Street, Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland Jr. and Annie Jr. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games and going outside and playing with his brother. Something Colin enjoys about being in the Kids Company of Oliver! is that he’s able to make new friends that are like him. He’s also liked learning the songs and choreography; he’s happy that he got the opportunity of a lifetime. He would like to thank Kristin Burrows, Kelsey DeCarlo, Laura Kenyan, Dorothy Lance, and all of Broadway Kids and Company School of Performing Arts. Colin also wants to thank his mom and dad, he couldn’t have done any of this without their love and support. He’d like to say that hopefully this is just the beginning. Colin is a 6th grade student at Old Saybrook Middle School.


CREATIVE TEAM

ROB RUGGIERO (Director) is thrilled to be returning to Goodspeed for his eleventh season, after directing past productions of Rags, La Cage aux Folles, Fiddler on the Roof, The Most Happy Fella, Carousel, Show Boat, Annie Get Your Gun, Camelot, Big River, and 1776. Rob has won multiple Connecticut Critic’s Circle Awards for Best Direction, including last season's highly-celebrated production of Next to Normal at TheaterWorks, where he is the Producing Artistic Director. His Broadway credits include High (starring Kathleen Turner) and Looped (starring Valerie Harper in a Tony-nominated performance). Off-Broadway, he conceived and directed the original musical revue entitled Make Me a Song: The Music of William Finn. The production received nominations for both the Drama Desk Award and the Outer Critics Circle Award. Rob has earned national recognition for his work on both plays and musicals. Regionally, he has directed a number of critically-acclaimed musical productions including Follies; Oklahoma!; Hello, Dolly!; South Pacific; The King & I; and Sunday in the Park with George, among others. In addition, he conceived and directed the highly successful Ella (Kevin Kline and Joseph Jefferson Awards) at TheaterWorks. His work has been seen at many other major regional theaters around the country, including Actor’s Theater of Louisville, Arizona Theatre Company, Barrington Stage Company, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Cleveland Playhouse, Guthrie Theater, Hartford Stage, Northlight Theater, Pittsburgh Public Theater, and The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, among others. Future projects include a production of Gypsy with Tony-winner Beth Leavel for The Muny’s 100th season, followed by a revival of Evita at the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis. 

 

JAMES GRAY (Choreographer)recently choreographed the movie Humor Me, staged the Emmy Award-winning special AFI Life Achievement Award: A Tribute to Mel Brooks, and directed and choreographed Peg O’ My Heart, the Musical for MITF. James has worked closely with Susan Stroman as her associate choreographer/director on many projects, including The Producers, Young Frankenstein, Bullets Over Broadway, The Last Two People on Earth: An Apocalyptic Vaudeville at ART, and HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm’s  Fatwa the Musical starring Lin-Manuel. For the past two years, he has worked with Hal Prince and Susan Stroman on Prince of Broadway (Tokyo and Broadway). www.jamesgray.biz. MICHAEL O'FLAHERTY (Music Director) is in his 27th season as Goodspeed's Resident Music Director. Broadway: By Jeeves, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, A Streetcar Named Desire. Also: Paper Mill Playhouse, North Shore Music Theatre, Playwrights Horizons, Ford's Theatre, The Brooklyn Academy of Music, The Kennedy Center, Pittsburgh Public Theatre, and the Smithsonian Institution. Musical Supervisor and Cabaret Director of the Williamstown Theatre Festival for 11 years. His original musical A Connecticut Christmas Carol, for which he wrote music and lyrics, will be presented at Goodspeed’s Terris Theatre in Chester again this fall. Michael has recently received the Tom Killen Award for Lifetime Achievement—the highest honor given by the Connecticut Critics Circle. 

 

MICHAEL SCHWEIKARDT (Scenic Design) Selected Off-Broadway productions include: The Bus and the American Premiere of Frank McGuinness’ Gates of Gold (59 E 59); Bloodsong of Love (Ars Nova); The Black Suits (The Public Theater). My Baby, Carousel, City of Angels (Connecticut Critics Circle Award), Show Boat, Annie Get Your Gun, Carnival, Camelot, Big River, 1776. Mr. Lasiter won the Connecticut Critics Circle Award in 2017 for Next to Normal at TheaterWorks in Hartford. His lighting for theater, modern dance, ballet, and opera can be seen at numerous regional theaters across the country. 

 

JAY HILTON (Sound Design) is pleased to continue his long association with Goodspeed Musicals and is happy to be working on his eleventh production with director Rob Ruggiero. Other productions include Show Boat, Carousel, Fiddler on the Roof, La Cage aux Folles, and last season’s Rags. Jay has designed countless other productions at both The Goodspeed and The Terris Theatre in Chester. His work has also been heard on Broadway, National Tours, and at Regional Theatres from coast to coast. In addition to being Goodspeed’s Resident Sound Designer, Jay serves as their Audio Supervisor. He and his wife, Goodspeed Producer Donna Lynn Hilton, make their home (and garden) in Hadlyme, Connecticut with Cookie.

 

MARK ADAM RAMPMEYER (Hair & Wig Design) has designed more than 20 productions for Goodspeed Musicals including 42nd Street, La Cage aux Folles, and Oklahoma!. As a stylist he was fortunate enough to be a part of the Broadway productions of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Sunset Boulevard, Kiss of the Spider Woman, and 42nd Street. Other design credits include Broadway: West Side Story, Lysistrata Jones, The Farnsworth Invention. Off-Broadway: The Toxic Avenger, Horton Foote’s Orphans’ Home Cycle, and The Milk Train Doesn’t Stop Here Anymore with Olympia Dukakis. Regional: The Legend of Georgia McBride and Christmas on the Rocks for TheaterWorks and many productions for Hartford Stage Company. ROBERT DAVIS (Dialect Coach) Recent projects as dialect coach include Relativity starring Richard Dreyfus at Theatre Works of Hartford and Feeding the Dragon starring Sharon Washington at Hartford Stage, which later played at the Cherry Lane Theatre in New York. As an actor, he appeared in Goodspeed’s Show Boat, Theatre Works of Hartford’s The Exonerated (CT Critics Circle Award Best Ensemble), and numerous roles at Hartford Stage, including A Midsummer Night’s Dream; Romeo & Juliet; Kiss Me, Kate; Our Town; Cat on a Hot Tin Roof; and A Christmas Carol. He is a professor in The Hartt School Theatre Division at the University of Hartford.

His work was heard in the West End's production of Show Boat and was nominated for Best Musical Revival at the 2017 Olivier Awards in London. He has orchestrated for Manhattan Concert Productions at Carnegie Hall, The Jim Henson Company, Julie Andrews, Rosie O'Donnell, Live Theatricals at Universal Studios, and composers Paul Williams, Jerry Herman, Harvey Schmitt, Charles Strouse, Stephen Schwartz, Peter Link, and Mark Hollman. His scores have been heard on Broadway, London's West End, National and European Tours, film, television, and at Regional Theaters around the world.
