DONNA ENGLISH* (Maman) happily returns to Goodspeed, where she began her professional career playing the golfing ingénue in Follow Thru! (adapted by Alfred Uhry) and later appeared in On the Town, The Gig, On the Twentieth Century, Princesses, and Half A Sixpence. Broadway: Living on Love, Nice Work If You Can Get It, Lend Me a Tenor, and Broadway.  Off Broadway: Madame X (NYMF Outstanding Performance Award), Forbidden Broadway Strikes Back!, Forbidden Broadway 20th Anniversary, Taking a Chance on Love, and Ruthless! Shawna M. Hamic SHAWNA M. HAMIC*(Cha-U-Ka-O, Little Henri, Ensemble) recently made her Broadway debut as Mrs. Dees in Sting’s The Last Ship. Previously, she toured for three years as Madame Thenardier on the 25th Anniversary National Tour of Les Misérables. Other roles include Shawntel in Jerry Springer: The Opera; Miss Cotton in Twist (directed by Debbie Allen); Ernestina Money in Hello, Dolly!; and Sister Mary Hubert in Nunsense. Chad Jennings CHAD JENNINGS* (Aristde Bruant, Ensemble) has spent four of the last five plus years on tour with South Pacific and then War Horse. In addition, he's been seen in Marvel Repertory's Threepenny Opera, as Santa in A Christmas Story at the John W. Engeman, and in the upcoming Jodie Foster-helmed film Money Monster. Charles Aznavour
CHARLES AZNAVOUR (Music and Lyrics) is a recording artist, songwriter, and performer with sales exceeding 100 million albums in more than 8 languages.  At 92, he is considered a French and Armenian national treasure.  He was named Entertainer of the Century by Time Magazine Online in 1998.  Mr. Aznavour has collaborated with Edith Piaf, Frank Sinatra, Bob Dylan, Bing Crosby, Ray Charles, Josh Groban, and famously with Liza Minelli.  He maintains an active recording and touring schedule with current sold-out performances in New York, Los Angeles, Montreal, Royal Albert Hall-London, Madrid, Amsterdam, Tel Aviv, and more.  His current CD, Encores, was released in the spring and charted in several countries. Mr. Aznavour is the accredited Armenian ambassador to Switzerland, participates in forums around the world on behalf of Armenia, and has raised tens of millions of dollars for Armenian relief.
   
Alfred Uhry

ALFRED UHRY (Book) is distinguished as the only American playwright to have won a Pulitzer Prize, an Academy Award, and two Tony Awards. He began his professional career as a lyric writer under contract to the late Frank Loesser and made his Broadway debut in 1968 as the lyricist for Here’s Where I Belong. His first major success was Broadway’s The Robber Bridegroom, for which he wrote the book and lyrics, followed by five recreated musicals at Goodspeed. His play, Driving Miss Daisy, opened Off-Broadway in 1987 and won the Pulitzer Prize in 1988. The film version, starring Morgan Freeman and Jessica Tandy, won Academy Awards for Best Picture and Best Adapted Screenplay in 1990. Other theatre works include The Last Night of Ballyhoo (Tony Award), Parade (Tony Award), Without Walls (starring Laurence Fishburne), and the book for the Broadway musical LoveMusik (Drama Desk nomination). In 2014, he was inducted into the Theatre Hall of Fame.

  JAY HILTON (Sound Design)is pleased to continue his long association with Goodspeed Musicals.  Jay has designed countless productions at both The Norma Terris Theatre and the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam.  His work has also been heard on Broadway, National Tours, and at Regional Theatres from coast to coast.  In addition to being Goodspeed’s Resident Sound Designer, Jay also serves as their Lighting & Sound Supervisor.  He and his wife, Goodspeed Line Producer Donna Lynn Hilton, make their home (and garden) in Hadlyme, Connecticut.
